How does Reclip work?
Turn Reclip on when you're hanging out with friends. It runs in the background and catches the funniest things anyone says, then sends them back to you as quotes you can read and play. You never press record.
Who sees my quotes?
Only you, until you've checked them. New quotes show up for you first, and you decide what your friends see.
Can I turn the mic off?
Yes. Tap the mute button in the top left corner of Reclip, or swipe up to close the app and the mic stays off until you open it again.
Will Reclip drain my battery?
Nope. Having the microphone on doesn’t drain your battery because Reclip isn’t sending anything off your phone. So just leave it on and you’ll never have to choose between saving the moment, and saving your battery.
Is Reclip safe?
Yes. We take your privacy seriously. That’s why the disappearing audio the microphone captures never leaves your phone and can’t be accessed by anyone, even us, for any reason. Only when you press Save do we store a copy of your Reclip on our secure servers.
How can I tell if Reclip is on?
iPhone always shows an orange dot at the top of the screen while any app is using the mic. If the dot is gone, Reclip isn't listening.
Can Reclip record phone calls?
No. Phone calls and FaceTime turn Reclip's mic off.
Is Reclip on Android?
Not yet. Reclip is iPhone only for now.
